CTEK chargepoints installed across multiple Stockholm parkering locations, to support swedish parking giant with continued EV charging expansion

CTEK has further strengthened its collaboration with Stockholm Parkering by supplying chargepoints for use in several of Stockholm Parking’s locations across the City. This deal will support Stockholm Parkering with its rapid expansion plan to meet growing demand for EV charging.

Commenting on this collaboration, Cecilia Routledge, Global Director CTEK E-mobility said “The demand for charging infrastructure is increasing as we see more and more Electric Vehicles (EVs) on the roads. Stockholm is no exception, with the City of Stockholm setting an ambitious target of 4,000 public charging stations in Stockholm by 2022. We are delighted to help work towards this goal.”

Stockholm Parkering already has 2,100 EV charging points, spanning both private and public parking locations. In order to meet the growing demand for EV charging and the City of Stockholm’s climate goal, this number is set to grow quite significantly. Stockholm Parkering therefore also chose to install CTEK’s latest load balancing solution, a future-proof solution that and easily increase the number of charging stations on a locations EV charging network.

Christian Rockberger, CEO of Stockholm Parkering said “Over the next three years, we will increase the number of charging stations across our portfolio of properties from 20 percent of total parking spaces to 50 percent. This corresponds to approximately 1,900 new charging stations. In addition, there are proposed charging stations in our new developments that will actually bring this total up to around 2,700 new charging stations.”

Stockholm Parkering has confirmed that all new developments will install EV charge points in 50 percent of the total parking spaces, with the remaining parking spaces being ‘EV ready’. The CTEK solution is fully scalable, enabling Stockholm Parkering to lay down the foundations for further growth and expansion over time.

The CTEK solution is centred around its market-leading Chargestorm Connected EV charger, widely recognised for its safety, design and integrated technology, supported by CTEK’s state of the art CGC 500 load-balancing solution and cloud-based Charge Portal for operation, monitoring and administration of users and charging stations.
