    The PRO25S is an innovative, versatile and highly efficient 25A battery charger and power supply, designed around the needs of the automotive professional. Combining power & advanced technology with safety, portability and flexibility to work with any 12V vehicle battery including Lithium-Ion (LiFePO4), the PRO25S is the perfect solution to professional battery charging, in the workshop or the showroom.

    Advanced technology will ensure that a safe, fast charge is delivered to exactly meet the needs of the individual battery. The PRO25S has a dedicated lead-acid battery reconditioning programme to restore battery life & recondition flat batteries. SUPPLY mode will support the battery during diagnostic or fault finding work. It has low voltage & current ripple, so it’s safe for the battery & the vehicle’s delicate electronic systems. Fully automatic & easy to use, it’s also very simple to connect, spark proof and reverse-polarity protected to protect the user & also the battery. The PRO25S is designed to ensure easy handling in both the workshop & the showroom. Whilst it’s lightweight & portable, the rugged, impact-resistant casing means it can also handle the toughest workshop environment.

        No LED’s are lit on the top row when the charger is connected to both the power outlet and the battery See answer
        The LED’s on the bottom row are lit and you can change charging mode. None of the LED’s in the top row, indicating charging status, are lit.

        Explanation: The battery voltage could be under 2 +/- 0.5V.
        Test: Try to charge the battery in Supply mode for approximately 5 min. Then try regular charging.
        Test: Test the charger on a fresh battery.

        Explanation 1: Reverse polarity.
        Test: Make sure that the + cable/clamp is connected to the + terminal and the – cable/clamp is connected to the – terminal.

        Explanation 2: The clamps are short circuited.

        Explanation 3: For chargers of the older type the error mode is flashing when only the plug is connected.
        Can you charge a lead acid battery with the Lithium mode? See answer
        We would not recommend that you do. Our ‘Lithium’ mode has been specially developed to work with lithium (LFP / LiFePO4) battery chemistries – this mode will not fully charge a lead acid battery.
        Will my PRO25S charge AGM batteries? See answer
        Yes, it charges all lead-acid type batteries in normal mode.

        Explanation: One of the LED’s at the lower row should light up when the charger is connected to the power outlet.
        Test: Make sure that there is power from the power outlet.
        Can I use lithium for lead acid and vice versa? See answer
        No - CTEK recommend the correct charge mode be used at all times.
        The charger has gone into maintenance mode but cannot see that the recond is completed? See answer
        The Recond program starts with the normal charging program but has a recondition phase inserted after the charging, automatically followed by the maintenance mode. The Recond light “R” on the upper row may be tricky to see, as it will be lit after the third charging lamp, and turns off after the recondition is done, (lasts 0,5h – 4h) and after that the 4th, green maintenance light will be lit.

        Explanation: The battery is probably too sulphated to revive. The battery is faulty and it is time to change it.

        The analysis phase is testing if the battery can retain the charger given.

        Explanation 1: Large loads are connected to the battery and are draining the voltage.
        Test: Disconnect the battery and try charging again.

        Explanation 2: The battery cannot retain the charge given.
        Test: The battery needs replacing.
        Is there a temp sensor? How does it act? See answer
        The temp sensor is within the charger and automatically adjusts charge voltage for optimum charge in any condition.
