CTEK and ChargeNode strengthen partnership to power the future of destination EV charging

EV Charging

CTEK, a leading global brand in electric vehicle charging solutions, has entered into a strengthened partnership with ChargeNode, the Nordic region’s leading charge point operator (CPO). The collaboration focuses on destination charging and marks the next step in a long-standing relationship between the two companies.

Through this new agreement, ChargeNode will continue to expand its network using CTEK’s trusted and high-performance hardware. The partnership brings together CTEK’s technical expertise and manufacturing quality with ChargeNode’s intelligent software platform and operational experience, creating an efficient and scalable solution for the fast-growing destination charging market.

The announcement comes at a time of change within the Nordic EV landscape. Following MER’s decision to discontinue its AC charging business, ChargeNode has taken over a large part of this segment, strengthening its position as a key operator for property owners, businesses and hospitality providers seeking to offer accessible EV charging. CTEK has previously supplied hardware solutions to MER, and this continued presence through ChargeNode ensures long-term stability and quality for sites transitioning within the same network.

“We’re very pleased to formalise our collaboration with ChargeNode,” said Daniel Forsberg, Marketing Manager at CTEK. “Our companies share the same mindset when it comes to quality, reliability and innovation. Together, we can make destination charging more accessible and deliver long-term value for both site owners and EV drivers.”

“Working with CTEK has always been straightforward and professional,” said Johan Sjöberg, Head of Sales at ChargeNode. “By combining our advanced charging platform with CTEK’s proven hardware, we can offer our customers a robust and future-ready charging solution that supports continued growth across the Nordic region.”

About ChargeNode

ChargeNode is the Nordic region’s leading charge point operator, currently managing more than 60,000 charging sockets, nearly half of which are traditional charging boxes.

The company was founded in 2015 after CEO Kristian Sandahl experienced first-hand the frustration of waiting for a charger while several fully charged vehicles remained plugged in. This moment led to the development of ChargeNode’s patented, centralised charging technology – a system designed to make EV charging more efficient, accessible and sustainable.
