CTEK Powers Into 2026 Melbourne Motor Show with New Products and Iconic Performance Cars

Corporate

CTEK, the global leader in battery charging, will take centre stage at this year’s Melbourne Motor Show, running from 10–12 April 2026, bringing its latest innovations in battery charging and power management to one of the region’s most anticipated automotive events.

Powering the Next Generation: Meet CTEK’s Latest Innovations

Visitors to the CTEK stand will be among the first to experience the brand’s newest products up close, with the NXT 5, RB3000, and RB4000 being showcased throughout the show. Designed to meet the evolving needs of drivers, enthusiasts and professional technicians alike, these new additions reinforce CTEK’s reputation for delivering reliable, intelligent power solutions.

Leading the line-up is the NXT 5, a next-generation 12V smart charger and maintainer designed for drivers seeking dependable battery maintenance with simple, intuitive operation. Compact yet powerful, the NXT 5 is engineered to maximise battery life and ensure vehicles are always ready to go, whether they’re daily commuters or weekend toys. Delivering an upgraded 5A charge capacity, the NXT 5 supports a wide range of 12V lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, making it suitable for everything from motorcycles to passenger vehicles.

For those demanding portable power on the go, the RB3000 and RB4000 high-performance jump starters bring serious capability in a compact package. With peak currents of 3000A and 4000A respectively, the RB range is capable of jump-starting most vehicles, from passenger cars to larger vehicles operating in demanding conditions. Beyond emergency jump starting, both units double as high-capacity power banks with USB-A and USB-C outputs, and include an integrated multi-mode LED flashlight for roadside or off-grid use, making them essential tools for everyday drivers, workshops and roadside assistance professionals.

Performance Icons on Display at the CTEK Stand

But it’s not just cutting-edge charging technology drawing attention to the CTEK stand this year. Two standout hero cars will also be on display, celebrating both Japanese performance heritage and American muscle.

The Lowdown will be bringing their iconic Honda NSX to the show - a 1990 model that helped redefine Japan’s performance identity and remains an icon of analogue engineering. This example has been transformed using a Sorcery Design widebody kit, further customised by the craftsmen at Autotique to create a unique interpretation that blends classic Japanese tuning heritage with modern craftsmanship. Inspired by the golden age of JGTC racing, the build embraces aggressive yet purposeful styling, with period-correct details guiding every decision. Advan GT wheels, functional aero elements, and a race influenced rear diffuser all contribute to a look that feels authentic to the era while elevating the car into something distinctly personal for T-LD brand, a tribute to 90s Japanese motorsport culture and the timeless appeal of the NSX platform.

Jason Hanif, Founder and Managing Director at The Lowdown said: “Cars from this era demand care, patience and attention. That’s part of what makes owning them special. Preventative maintenance is everything, and CTEK has become an essential part of how we look after the car. Whether it’s been parked for days or weeks between drives and shows, we know it’ll start without hesitation. There’s a real comfort in knowing the battery is constantly being maintained and reconditioned, so the car is always ready for the next drive, exactly as it should be.”

As befitting juxtaposition to the Japanese icon, Rides by Kam’s iconic Dodge Challenger will also be on display at the CTEK booth. Affectionately known as the “Kam Challenger,” Rob Zahabi’s personal 2013 Dodge Challenger is a striking example of modern muscle infused with classic attitude. Owned by Zahabi since 2015, the car has evolved into one of his most personal builds, blending high-performance engineering with meticulous craftsmanship. The Challenger runs a Liberty Walk widebody kit and staggered B-Forged wheels (20x15 rear and 20x12 front), giving it a bold stance reminiscent of the iconic 1970s-era Challenger silhouette. Under the hood sits a Mopar Performance 392 Crate Engine - a 6.4L Gen 3 HEMI V8 - paired with a D1X ProCharger system and a tightly packaged three-core intercooler, delivering serious performance to match the aggressive styling. Carbon fibre detailing across the grille, hood, splitter and rear wing complements the stunning interior which features a premium mix of Napa red leather and Alcantara. Originally imported from the United States but converted to right-hand drive, the car remains a rare sight on Australian roads. Adjustable MacPherson air struts allow the Challenger to sit low on the road, enhancing its unmistakable stance and presence.

Rob Zahabi, Owner of Rides By Kam, said: “This build is special to me - I’ve owned it since 2015 and it’s become my personal expression of what a modern muscle car should be. We’ve packed a lot into it, from the 6.4L HEMI and ProCharger setup to the widebody stance and carbon detailing, but at the end of the day it’s still built to be driven and enjoyed. Cars like this might spend time parked between shows, photoshoots or workshop projects, so keeping the battery in top condition is crucial. That’s why I rely on CTEK chargers across my own cars and customer builds - they make sure everything is properly maintained and ready to fire up whenever it’s time to hit the road.”

Paul Oddy, APAC Regional Manager for CTEK said: “Melbourne Motor Show brings together the best of the automotive community, and we’re thrilled to be part of the action. We encourage visitors to come and see us at the CTEK stand to experience our latest products firsthand, meet the team, and take a closer look at some incredible machines on display.”

Showcasing the very best of up-and-coming automotive culture, Melbourne Motor Show provides an ideal platform to demonstrate CTEK’s commitment to Power Every Moment for drivers, vehicles and the experiences that bring them together.
